One in Five Minority NHS Managers Plan to Exit, Survey Finds

One in five Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) managers surveyed say they plan to leave the National Health Service (NHS) within three years. Of 950 managers asked by the NHS Alliance, almost four in five reported racism, exclusion and blocked promotion. Minority board membership rose to 17.3% in 2025. The question now is whether promotions follow.
