One in five BAME NHS managers intend to quit within three years, survey finds

One in five BAME NHS managers surveyed by the NHS Alliance said they intend to leave the NHS within three years. Of 950 managers asked about racism and career progression, almost four-fifths reported racism, exclusion and blocked progression. BAME board membership rose to 17.3% in 2025, so I will be watching whether promotion systems catch up.
