Houthis Capture Hanish Islands, Control Entire Bab al-Mandab

Houthis now control Greater and Lesser Hanish islands, 160km north of the Bab al-Mandab strait, the narrow passage linking the Red Sea to the open ocean. After the fall of Mokha and Perim island, these were the last islands in the strait outside Houthi hands. The group now commands Yemen's entire coast, 32km from the U.S. base in Djibouti.
