Yemen Rebels Seize Islands Controlling Key Waterway

Yemen's Houthi rebels have seized Greater and Lesser Hanish islands, 160km north of the Bab al-Mandab, a narrow doorway of water linking the Red Sea to the open ocean. After Mokha and Perim island fell, these were the last islands there outside rebel control. They now hold Yemen's whole coast, 32km from a U.S. base in Djibouti.
