Inquiry says police should have acted on 2023 Phillips sighting

A public inquiry — an official investigation — found police should have treated a 28 May 2023 report of Tom Phillips and his children near Te Anga Road as credible, RNZ reported. It says avoidable delays followed, and acting sooner might have given police a real chance of finding the children.
