Labour won't promise to restore $521 KiwiSaver payment

Labour leader Chris Hipkins says Labour cannot promise to bring back the full government KiwiSaver top-up. The Budget 2025 cut it from $521 to $260 a year, according to RNZ. Hipkins told RNZ Morning Report any incoming government faces budget pressure. Labour's new KiwiSaver policy does not commit to restoring the payment.
