Labour cannot promise to restore $521 KiwiSaver contribution

Labour leader Chris Hipkins says Labour cannot promise to reverse the cut to the government KiwiSaver contribution. The payment was halved from $521 to $260 in Budget 2025, according to RNZ. Hipkins told RNZ Morning Report there is pressure on any incoming government. Labour's KiwiSaver package contains no commitment to restore it.
