European Parliament to open Ottawa liaison office

The European Parliament will open a small antenna office, a liaison post, in Ottawa to build ties with Canada's Parliament. President Roberta Metsola said it will support exchanges with MPs and senators and help members better understand the Arctic, security and Canada-Europe trade. The news came ahead of Prime Minister Mark Carney's speech to the Parliament.
