Memory prices pushed Steam Frame above $1,059 target

Valve wanted its wireless Steam Frame under $1,059, developer Jeremy Selan said Sept. 14. Global RAM and storage prices made that unreachable, despite what Selan called a hard fight to keep costs down. Valve had aimed to undercut the $999 tethered Index, which needs a wired PC connection.
