Police end Korowai Manaaki assault inquiry with no charges

Police have finished looking into a March assault known as ‘walking the line’ at Korowai Manaaki youth justice residence, and laid no charges. Oranga Tamariki said police found no evidence of criminal offending by the rangatahi (young person) or kaimahi (staff) involved. It said staff were present when a young person was slapped and hit on discharge.
