Reuters poll: Fed likely to hold rates at 3.50%-3.75%

65 of 93 economists in a Sept. 4-9 Reuters poll expect the Federal Reserve to leave its key interest rate — the federal funds rate — at 3.50%-3.75%. The rate has held steady all year through Sept. 11. If so, savings and loan rates likely stay put: no relief for borrowers, no extra squeeze either.
