Joly expects foreign funds to announce deals at Toronto summit

Industry Minister Mélanie Joly says she expects big foreign investment funds to announce deals at the Canada Investment Summit in Toronto on Sept. 14-15. She told The Globe and Mail Ottawa wants memoranda of understanding — signed statements of intent — with detailed checks to follow, after months of talks with investors on nation-building projects.
