Ottawa expects foreign investors to promise deals in Toronto

Industry Minister Mélanie Joly says she expects large foreign money managers to promise deals at the Canada Investment Summit in Toronto on Sept. 14-15. She told The Globe and Mail Ottawa wants written handshake deals now, with careful checks later, after months of talks with investors on large countrywide projects.
