Crossbench bill to bar Australian F-35 parts from Israel

Independent senator David Pocock and MP Sophie Scamps will introduce 'red lines' legislation to federal parliament on 14 September 2026 to stop Australian defence goods being used by Israel's military. Supporters say it would block Australian-made F-35 fighter-jet parts from reaching Israel's air force in Gaza. The bill bans exports that could violate Australia's human rights obligations.
