Proposal to stop Australian military parts reaching Israel

Independent senator David Pocock and MP Sophie Scamps will bring a 'red lines' law to Australia's parliament on 14 September 2026. It would stop Australian-made military equipment being used by Israel's military. Supporters say this means F-35 warplane parts made in Australia could no longer reach Israel's air force in Gaza if the sale risks breaking Australia's human rights promises.
