Australian crossbench to propose ban on F-35 parts for Israeli military

Independent senator David Pocock and MP Sophie Scamps will present 'red lines' legislation in federal parliament on 14 September 2026 to bar Australian defence goods from Israeli military use. Proponents say it would stop Australian-made F-35 parts reaching Israel's air force in Gaza. The bill would ban exports risking breach of Australia's human rights obligations.
