Trump Seeks 30-Foot Washington Statue by Sept. 17

President Donald Trump has asked the Smithsonian to place a 30-foot statue of George Washington, called Colossus, outside the National Museum of American History by Sept. 17, Constitution Day. It would replace the Infinity sculpture, there since 1967. The Smithsonian is independent, not under direct White House control.
