Trump Asks Smithsonian to Install 30-Foot Washington Statue by Sept. 17

President Donald Trump asked the Smithsonian to install a 30-foot "Colossus statue" of George Washington outside the National Museum of American History by Constitution Day, September 17. The proposal would replace the Infinity sculpture installed in 1967. The Smithsonian operates outside the executive branch.
