16 Die in Fire at Nursing Home in Southern Chile

At least 16 elderly residents died in a fire at the El Edén nursing home in Pitrufquén, about 640km south of Santiago. The fire started around 10:30 p.m. Friday and was put out Saturday morning. Ten others were moved to safety. Prosecutor Jorge Granada, the official leading the inquiry, said the cause is still unclear.
