16 Older People Die in Fire at Chile Care Home

At least 16 older residents died in a fire at the El Edén care home in Pitrufquén, about 640km south of Santiago. The fire started around 10:30 p.m. Friday and was put out Saturday morning. Ten other people were taken out safely. The official leading the inquiry, prosecutor Jorge Granada, said the cause is not yet known.
