16 Elderly Residents Die in Fire at Chilean Nursing Home

At least 16 elderly residents died in a fire at the El Edén nursing home in Pitrufquén, about 640km south of Santiago. The fire broke out around 22:30 local time Friday and was extinguished Saturday morning. Ten other people were evacuated. Prosecutor Jorge Granada said the cause was not clear.
