Jackson Police Arrest Suspect on Homicide Charge in Fortune Case

Jackson police arrested 51-year-old Jarques Ratliff Friday on a homicide charge, an accusation of causing death, in the killing of Tasia Fortune, 29. Fortune, a Black mother of four, was found hanging from a tree Aug. 3 behind an abandoned Jackson home. Police say Ratliff, who is Black, was associated with Fortune.
