Jackson Police Arrest Man on Homicide Charge in Tasia Fortune Killing

Jackson police arrested 51-year-old Jarques Ratliff on a homicide charge Friday in connection with the killing of Tasia Fortune, 29. Fortune, a Black mother of four, was found hanging from a tree Aug. 3 in the backyard of an abandoned Jackson home. Police said Ratliff, who is Black, had an "association" with Fortune.
