28 Anti-Migrant Vigilante Groups Formed in UK in 18 Months

At least 28 anti-migrant vigilante groups — self-organized patrols targeting migrants outside police control — have formed in Britain in the past 18 months, a Sept. 12 Guardian analysis found. Numbers rose sharply since summer 2025, with 31 groups now active. Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood urged police to use their full powers against them.
