Electrical Fault at B.C. Waterpark Injures Twelve, Mostly Children

An electrical fault at Cultus Lake Waterpark near Chilliwack hospitalized twelve people—ten children and two adults—on June 15 with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Water conducts electricity efficiently, allowing current to travel through bodies at lower voltages than on dry land. WorkSafeBC will conduct a standard investigation. The fault's cause remains undetermined.
