Twelve Injured, Mostly Children, in Electrical Incident at B.C. Waterpark

An electrical fault at Cultus Lake Waterpark near Chilliwack hospitalized twelve people—ten children and two adults—on June 15 with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The incident occurred at 11:05 a.m. Water reduces skin resistance, allowing current to pass through bodies at lower voltages. WorkSafeBC investigation is expected under standard protocol. The cause remains under investigation.
