Hospitality review backs 24 red-tape cuts, single alcohol licence framework

A government review of New Zealand's $21.4 billion hospitality sector recommends 24 red-tape cuts. Proposals include a single risk-based alcohol licence replacing all existing types, scrapping annual renewals, and repealing the Hotel Association Act 1969. Regulation Minister David Seymour said ministers will decide which to accept in coming weeks.
