Labour won't rule out Greens' publicly-owned supermarket plan

Labour MP Vanushi Walters hasn't ruled out the Greens' proposed publicly-owned supermarket chain, KiwiMart. The Greens would require Foodstuffs and Woolworths to sell 120 stores and two distribution centres into public ownership for an estimated $2.8 billion. Walters said Labour will release its own policy targeting the supermarket duopoly soon. National's Nicola Willis called the plan "Soviet-style nationalisation."
