Labour won't rule out Greens' publicly-owned KiwiMart supermarket plan
Labour MP Vanushi Walters has not ruled out the Green Party's proposed publicly-owned supermarket chain, KiwiMart. The Greens' plan would force Foodstuffs and Woolworths to sell 120 stores and two distribution centres into public ownership at an estimated $2.8 billion. Walters said Labour will release its own duopoly-breaking policy soon. National's Nicola Willis called the proposal "Soviet-style nationalisation."
