NZ First would limit Super to citizens from 2029
NZ First leader Winston Peters told a Hamilton audience on 7 September the party would restrict New Zealand Superannuation to citizens only from 2029, citing affordability. Permanent residents aged 65-plus currently qualify after 10–20 years. The policy includes a three-year transition. Migrant advocates including Kelly Feng of Asian Family Services called it "unfair and inhumane."
