NZ First wants Super for citizens only
NZ First leader Winston Peters said in Hamilton on 7 September the party would limit NZ Super to citizens from 2029, citing cost. Right now, permanent residents aged 65-plus can also get Super after living here 10–20 years. The change would be phased in over three years. Migrant advocate Kelly Feng of Asian Family Services called it "unfair and inhumane."
