Wigan captain Liam Farrell to retire at end of 2026 Super League season

Wigan Warriors captain Liam Farrell has announced he will retire from professional rugby league at the end of the 2026 Betfred Super League season. The 36-year-old, a cousin of Ireland rugby union head coach Andy Farrell, has played over 400 games for Wigan since his 2010 debut — his only professional club.
