DJI Brings Drone-Style Local Data Mode to ROMO 2 Robot Vacuums

DJI's ROMO 2 robot vacuums, launched at IFA 2026 in Berlin, will gain Local Data Mode in Q4 2026. The feature, first seen on DJI drones, disconnects the DJI Home app from the internet so captured photos and videos stay on-device. Users can also disable cameras and microphone entirely and delete any previously shared personal data.
