DJI Brings Drone-Style Local Data Mode to ROMO 2 Robot Vacuums

DJI's ROMO 2 robot vacuums, launched at IFA 2026 in Berlin, will gain Local Data Mode in Q4 2026. The feature, originally debuted on DJI drones, cuts the DJI Home app's internet connection so captured photos and videos cannot reach external servers. Users can also disable cameras and microphone entirely and delete any shared personal data.
