DJI's New Robot Vacuums Will Let You Cut the Internet Connection

DJI's ROMO 2 robot vacuums, launched at IFA 2026 in Berlin, will add a privacy feature called Local Data Mode in late 2026. Borrowed from DJI drones, it disconnects the vacuum's app from the internet so photos and videos cannot reach outside servers. Users can also turn off the cameras and microphone completely and delete any shared data.
