Three studios have pitched a new Banjo-Kazooie game to Microsoft, says composer Grant Kirkhope

At least three external developers have "actually, physically pitched" a new Banjo-Kazooie game to Microsoft or Rare, franchise composer Grant Kirkhope told FRVR in an interview published 3 September 2026. Kirkhope did not name the studios and said he was unsure if any pitch succeeded. He upgraded the revival's odds from "zero chance" to a "slight chance."
