Rob Deacon, with 25-plus years in UK film marketing, has launched Phoenix Film Finance, lending production companies the value of their owed Independent Film Tax Credit so shoots continue without waiting for government clearance. The Edinburgh–London firm targets sub-£500,000 loans and has three films on its slate, per Variety (3 September 2026). It plans VAT cash-flowing and gap financing next.
