Russia has deployed faster, jet-powered drones against Kyiv, flying roughly 300 mph and shrinking Ukraine's interception window from minutes to seconds. Earlier propeller-driven Shahed models gave air-defense crews time to respond. The new platforms give almost none. Kyiv has faced near-constant drone assault for days, and the share of drones reaching targets appears to be rising.
