Sony and Microsoft tell US courts they owe no tariff refunds to console buyers

Sony and Microsoft told US courts they are not obligated to pass tariff refunds to consumers who paid higher console prices, Eurogamer reported on 2026-09-03. Sony expects roughly US$508 million back from the US government, most for PlayStation. The US Supreme Court struck down the tariffs in February 2026. No judge has yet ruled for the companies.
