New GameCube Emulator Gecko Arrives, Acknowledges It Won't Surpass Dolphin

Developer Layle, known for emulators covering Game Boy, PlayStation 1, and Game Gear, released Gecko on GitHub — a new GameCube emulator. Asked what it offers beyond Dolphin, the dominant emulator in development since 2003 with essentially zero broken titles, Layle said: "Probably none." Gecko targets homebrew development and reverse engineering rather than replacing Dolphin.
