Eastern Libya's Intelligence Chief Killed in Benghazi Car Bomb

Major-General Fawzi al-Mansouri, military intelligence chief for Khalifa Haftar's Libyan National Army, died in a car bomb outside his Benghazi home on 10 August 2026. Drone strikes hit Libyan oil facilities the same day, The National reported. No group has claimed responsibility, and the link between both events remains unclear. Eastern PM Osama Hammad called it a "treacherous terrorist act."
