Eastern Libya's Intelligence Chief Killed as Drones Strike Oil Facilities
Major-General Fawzi al-Mansouri, head of military intelligence for Khalifa Haftar's Libyan National Army, was killed by a car bomb outside his Benghazi home on 10 August 2026. Drone strikes hit Libyan oil facilities on the same timeline, The National reported. The precise link between both events remains unclear. No group has claimed responsibility. Eastern PM Osama Hammad called it a "treacherous terrorist act."
