Kurdistan Hit Over 1,000 Times Since US-Iran War Began, KRG Reports
Iraq's Kurdistan Region has absorbed more than 1,000 missile and drone strikes — from Iran or its allied militias — since the US-Iran war began in February 2026, KRG Prime Minister Masrour Barzani told Al Jazeera. Spokesman Peshawa Hawramani pegged losses through April at roughly $1.14 billion, formally submitted to Baghdad. Military, energy, and civilian sites have all been hit.
