Ukraine Attacks a Major Russian Oil Facility Far from the Fighting, Killing 13

At least 13 people, including a child, were killed and 39 wounded when Ukrainian drones hit Nizhnekamsk, a city about 800 km east of Moscow. The city is home to one of Russia's largest oil-processing plants. Ukraine said it aimed for that facility. Similar strikes occurred in June and July 2026, part of an ongoing effort to weaken Russia's fuel supply deep inside the country.
