13 Killed in Ukrainian Drone Strike on Russian Oil Hub of Nizhnekamsk
At least 13 people, including a child, were killed and 39 wounded when Ukrainian drones struck Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan — roughly 800 km east of Moscow. The city hosts one of Russia's largest oil refineries. Ukraine's military confirmed targeting an oil facility. The strike follows similar attacks in June and July 2026, part of a sustained effort to degrade Russian refining capacity deep in the interior.
