Most teachers want NCEA fixed, not scrapped — but the government plans to replace it

NCEA is the qualification secondary students work towards. A survey of 830 teachers found 71% want it improved, not replaced — principals agreed at 70%. That clashes with the government's plan to swap NCEA for a new qualification from 2028. The Ministry has not yet shared what people said during consultation.
