Zuckerberg's yacht was closest when a cruise ship rescued a stranded boat in Alaska

Ship-tracking data showed Zuckerberg's 387-foot yacht Launchpad was nearest to a boat that ran out of fuel near Farragut Bay, Alaska, on August 8, 2026. The yacht did not help. A spokesperson said the family wasn't aboard and the crew learned of the Coast Guard's call for assistance too late — on a different radio channel. The cruise ship Wilderness Legacy towed the boat to safety and refueled it.
