Three European Countries Say Extreme Heat Will Last Into Fall

Weather agencies in France, the UK, and Spain all say unusually hot weather is coming back and could last through October. France's weather service says southern France will start heating up August 7. This follows France's hottest month ever — July 2026 — which brought two heat waves and put 37 local areas under a red alert, the most serious warning level. The heat season is not over.
