Three European Weather Services Signal Return of Extreme Heat Through Autumn

Météo-France reported rising temperatures across southern France from August 7. The UK Met Office forecast heat returning later in August. Spain's AEMET predicts a very high probability of above-normal temperatures nationwide through October. This follows France's hottest recorded month — July 2026 — which brought two heat waves and placed 37 departments under red vigilance. The 2026 heat season is re-entering an active phase, not ending.
