Texas Police Officer Arrested in Mexico After Deadly Custody Dispute

Chad Eberle, a 35-year-old part-time police officer from Santa Anna, Texas, was arrested August 4 at a Mexico border crossing. Authorities say he killed three people and critically hurt his son's mother during a custody disagreement in Saltillo, Mexico. Femicide — the killing of a woman because of her gender — is among the charges. His son was unharmed and placed in state care.
